Marie was born in Devon. She studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and on the Royal Academy Opera Course where she was awarded a DipRAM.
Opera roles include Bradamante (Alcina) for English Touring Opera, Olga (Eugene Onegin) for Opera By Definition and English Touring Opera, Angelina (Cenerentola) for Stanley Hall Opera, Genevieve (Pelléas et Mélisande) for Independent Opera at Sadler�s Wells, Disinganno (Il Trionfo) for The Classical Opera Company, Oronte (La Fida Ninfa) and Licida (L'Olimpiade) for La Serenissima in Venice and Israel. Covers include Irene (Handel�s Theodora) for Glyndebourne Touring Opera and Eduige (Handel�s Rodelinda) and the title role in Handel�s Giulio Cesare for Glyndebourne Festival Opera. Whilst at Glyndebourne, Marie was awarded the annual Erich Vetheer Prize for promising young singers.
Marie�s is much in demand as a concert singer throughout the UK. Her many oratorio performances include the major works of Verdi, Rossini, Elgar and especially Handel and Bach and she has worked with conductors Nicholas McGegan, Sir David Willcocks, David Hall, Edward Gardner, Vladimir Jurowski and Harry Christophers and The Sixteen.
Future engagements include Messagiera in Monteverdi�s Orfeo at King�s Place with La Nuova Musica & performances of L�Olimpiade in Bath and Buxton Festivals with La Serenissima.
